Science Class- Nov. 17-21

This week in science, we have been learning about bacteria.  We looked at a diagram of a bacteria cell so that we can understand how they work, and how they are similar and different from animal and plant cells.  We learned that bacteria are prokaryotic.  This means that they don't have a nucleus.  We also learned that bacteria have a cell wall, just like plants.

We used a computer simulation to learn about the growth of bacteria.  Then we graphed the results.  By doing this we were able to see patterns of the bacteria growth, and how different variables, such as growth parameter and initial population, affected it.

Hey Kirstie, your close but I think you mean that bacteria are prokaryotic. Otherwise this is AWESOME! You really nailed the important ideas we covered in class.
