Lamark was one of the people who had a theory about evolution. They are called the Lamarkian Theory of use and disuse and the Theory of the inheritance of acquired characteristics. The theory of use and disuse is this: if you were to work at something, you can actually change a trait. Also, if you don't use something, you will lose it. This is the theory of inheritance of the acquired characteristics: The above traits will be passed down if both parents have the traits. Neither of these theories are actually true.
We also started learning about the common ancestor for humans and monkeys. The oldest one found was Lucy, found in Ethiopia and about 3-4 million years old. Hominid is a class that includes humans, monkeys, and those ancestors. The early hominids were the common ancestors for humans and monkeys. They stand on to feet, and are omnivorous mammal primates.
The split into 2 groups. One watched some documentaries on the computer, and some, like me, did some work about classifications.
